Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. When you upload files, we store the file content, metadata you provide (titles, tags, descriptions), and automatically detected information like file type and size.

We also collect basic usage data such as request counts and storage usage to enforce plan limits and display your account dashboard.

Your data is used to provide the Stow service: storing your files, serving them to your connected applications, and running optional content analysis (on the Pro plan) to generate summaries and tags.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded content to train machine learning models.

Files are stored on secure cloud infrastructure with content-addressed naming, meaning identical files are only stored once. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Account credentials are managed through a secure authentication service. API keys are hashed before storage — we never store your raw API keys.

We use the following third-party services to operate Stow:

• Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe collects payment information directly; we never see or store your full card details.
• Secure cloud infrastructure — for file storage, database, and edge delivery.
• Email delivery services — for transactional emails like password resets.
• Error monitoring services — to detect and fix issues quickly.

On the Pro plan, uploaded files may be analyzed to automatically generate titles, descriptions, tags, and summaries. Audio files may be transcribed. This processing is performed on secure infrastructure and the results are stored alongside your assets.

You can provide your own metadata when uploading to skip automatic analysis.

Your files and account data are retained as long as your account is active. If you delete an asset, it is permanently removed from storage. If you close your account, all associated data will be deleted.

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time through the Stow dashboard or API. If you need assistance, contact us and we will respond promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the dashboard.
